Mesopotamia

It is 3500 BCE and I am in Sumer. A problem settling in Sumer is the water. The water is a problem because there is not enough water for all of us to use. A lot of farmers moved to Sumer and faced many challenges. One of the biggest problems was the uncontrolled water supply so they did not grow a lot of crops. The farmers needed water to grow the crops they are dying and we need food. When it rains a lot the two rivers, The Euphrates and the Tigris, flood and the land gets too much mud and the plants die. Another problem I have is the irrigation system. If we do not clean them they clog.

  1. I have the soltions to your problem. First of all You and your fellow people in Sumer should work together and unclog the irragation system. Which reminds, me you should build leeves which will lead to the irragation system. This will help prevent flash flooding, give water, and spread water to your crops. This way Sumer will become calmer. I suggset that you use my solutions

  2. The solution for the uncontrolled water supply would be the creation of levees and irrigation systems this would make it easier to ration out water in times of scarcity. To make irrigation systems sustainable the Ensi must be involved to make laws to have all people clean out irrigation systems regularly. What do you think?

  3. Okay for the frist problem and the solution to the water problem is that you can build levee's so you can have more water to drink. You can also plant on the place were there is not that much sun so the food on't die. I wish you the best of luck.
